Copyright Policy
Our framework for protecting intellectual property and responding to DMCA takedown requests.
1. Overview
Cortiqa respects the intellectual property rights of all creators and expects its users to do the same. This Copyright Policy outlines how we handle claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable laws.
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied or used in a way that constitutes infringement, please follow the procedures described below to submit a formal notice.
2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, please submit a written notification to our designated copyright agent that includes all of the following information:
Identification of the copyrighted work
A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
Identification of the infringing material
The specific URL(s) or other information sufficient to locate the material you claim is infringing on our platform.
Your contact information
Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can contact you regarding your notice.
Good faith statement
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
Accuracy statement
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Signature
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
Important
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
3. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your full name, address, phone number, and email address.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, Cortiqa will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed material.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, Cortiqa maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

| Third Offense | Permanent account termination and removal of all associated content. |
Notice
Cortiqa reserves the right to terminate any account at any time if we reasonably believe the user is engaging in copyright infringement, regardless of the number of prior offenses.
5. Our Response Process
Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, Cortiqa will take the following steps:
- Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
- Notify the user who posted the material that it has been removed.
- Provide the user with information on how to file a counter-notification.
- Forward any valid counter-notification to the original complainant.
- Restore the material within 10–14 business days if no court action is filed by the complainant.

7. Limitation of Liability
Cortiqa acts as an intermediary and does not monitor all user-generated content proactively. We rely on rights holders to notify us of potential infringement. Cortiqa shall not be liable for any content posted by users that infringes on third-party copyrights, provided we respond promptly to valid takedown notices in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
By using Cortiqa's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Copyright Policy. Cortiqa reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Continued use of our services following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
